WGC-Cadillac Match Play Pools

On Monday, Golf Channel televised the first live "Selection Show" for the reformatted WGC-Cadillac Match Play event at Hardy Park.  The new format features groups which will compete in a round-robin format on Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday.  Players will not be eliminated until play concludes on Friday night.  

There are the feature groups viewers will want to keep an eye on: 

Group 1: Rory McIlroy, Billy Horschel, Brand Snedeker, Jason Dufner 

Lots of accolades in Group 1 including the defending Open Champion, PGA Champion, and Fed Ex Cup Champion (McIlroy and Horschel).  In total, this group has won five (5) major championships and two (2) Fed Ex Cup championships.  

Group 4: Bubba Watson, Louis Oosthuizen, Keegan Bradley, and Miguel Angel Jimenez 

Any group featuring the Most Interesting Man in Golf should certainly garner a fair amount of attention.  This group also features four (4) major championships and two perennial American Ryder Cup players.  

Group 11: Jimmy Walker, Ian Poulter, Webb Simpson, Gary Woodland 

All former PGA Tour winners in this group including Walker who has already won once in 2015.  Poulter is always a tough out in match-play.  Solid group.

Group 3; Bill Haas

Group 4: Keegan Bradley

Group 5: Martin Kaymer 

Group 6: Justin Rose

Group 7: Jason Day

Group 8: Victor Dubuisson

Group 9: Paul Casey

Group 10: Sergio Garcia

Group 11: Jimmy Walker

Group 12: Brooks Koepka

Group 13: Graeme McDowell 

Group 14: Matt Kuchar

Group 15: Patrick Reed

Group 16: Hideki Maysuyama
