Rosey in New Orleans
Next week will be the Run for the Roses, but this week, it was a Rose who was victorious at the Zurich Classic of New Orleans.
Justin Rose shot a final round 66 to hold off Boo Weekly, Cameron Tringale, and Jason Day to capture his his 7th PGA Tour title. Scoring was ideal following storms which left the TPC Louisiana with soft conditions. 4 of the top 5 finishers at the Zurich shot all four rounds in the 60's.
It is the sixth consecutive list that Rose has recorded a victory on the PGA Tour. An impressive feat considering it took Rose seven years to earn his first victory. With this win, Rose will jump into the Top-20 of the Fed Ex Cup.
It's a short turnaround for the best in the world as the show heads to Hardy Park and the WGC-Cadilac Match Play. Round-robin play begins on Wednesday. The Match Play event is the only five-day event on the PGA Tour schedule. This year's event will also be featured in primetime so gear up for a large helping of golf action this weekend.
