Harbaugh's Return HoMe

After falling to the Utah Utes last Thursday, the Michigan Wolverines will return to the Big House  this Saturday against Oregon State.  The game will mark coach Jim Harbaugh's first game as head coach of the Wolverines at Michigan Stadium.

Last week, Michigan started the season on the road against a good, but not great, Utah team.  While most of the talking heads predicted that Utah would win the game, many Michigan fans believed that Harbaugh would will them to a win.

Jake Ruddock was named the starting quarterback for the Wolverines.  And though he was chosen because of his effectiveness as a game manager, Ruddock threw three interceptions, one which led to a Utah touchdown.  Ruddock also overthrew his receivers (including a wide open Chesson which would have been 7 for Michigan).  If Ruddock can re-establish his timing and eliminate the turnovers, then Michigan should fare better against Oregon State.

During his weekly press conference, Harbaugh noted that the offensive line needed to improve.  Michigan was not able to get much of a running game going - something that is vital to Harbaugh's offensive system.

Drake Johnson is still recovering and won't be available for the Wolverines on Saturday.  Expect more Smith and Green.

And while ESPN's College GameDay and Saturday Night Football will be in East Lansing, SportsCenter will be in Ann Arbor covering Harbaugh's return to Ann Arbor.

For those Wolverine fans who are still in a state of sadness over the Wolverines losing the game, here is Utah resident and Michigan fan Elle Johnson to cheer you up.
