Big Ten Tournament: Michigan -vs- Northwestern

Northwestern's first lead of the game came after the opening tip when Tre Demps hit a 3.  Michigan then went on a 16-0 run and it looked like Michigan was going to cruise.

Until the end of regulation, when Northwestern tipped in a game-tying shot with .01 seconds left in the game.  The teams headed to regulation which saw Northwestern get up on the Wolverines until Michigan was able to tie the game with a Duncan Robinson 3 and a Zac Irvin 18-footer with 3 seconds left.

This was the necessary first step that Michigan needed to advance to the NCAA Tournament.  The next step will be a win against the No. 1 seeded Indiana Hoosiers on Friday afternoon.  A win against Indiana *should* guarantee Michigan a slot into the NCAA Tournament, but if the same team who played against the Wildcats today comes out against Indiana, then you can start booking tickets to the NIT.
