Michigan Football 2014: Game 2 @ Notre Dame

After all of the pomp and circumstance surrounding the final game of this series, Michigan was out-played in every facet of the game by the Irish.

The Michigan defense surrendered 31 points.  They were unable to get any pressure on Golston from the line, and the secondary, though banged up, did not hang with the Irish receivers.

The Michigan offense scored a total of ZERO points.  Yes - ZERO points were scored by the Wolverines on Saturday night.  The young and inexperienced offensive line was exposed by the Irish d-line.  They were unable to get any movement up front and the running game suffered.  Devin Gardner also had one of the worst games of his career.  Interceptions, fumbles, and an inability to see open receivers stabled the Wolverines offense.

Special teams also contributed to the woes with Matt Wile going 0-2 on field goal attempts.

Michigan was outplayed and out-coached for the entire sixty minutes.  Michigan will rebound against Miami (OH) before playing Utah out of the Pac12.  This team needs answers to the big problems which seem to continue plaguing the Wolverines.
