2014 Michigan Football: Game 4 - Michigan vs. Utah

The rain that fell over Michigan Stadium late in the evening on September 20 was symbolic of the tears of all the Michigan fans who have seen their once mighty program fall.  A storm delay emptied the Michigan faithful out of the Big House leaving on Utah Utes' fans there to watch their team beat the Wolverines.

Before the stadium lights were turned off, Michigan was a 2-2 team heading into conference team, and after four games, there are more questions than answers.  Obviously the defense, which isn't horrendous, did not do enough to keep Michigan in the game.  In fairness, there isn't much the defense can do to win the game when the offense fails to get into the red zone a single time during the course of a game.

The biggest question heading into the Big Ten opener against Minnesota is who will QB the Wolverines: Shane Morris or Devin Gardner.  While the offense as a whole has been extremely disappointing, Gardner has six interceptions compared to only five touchdowns.  Morris has to get a shot this week.  The offense is stagnant and needs a shot in the arm.  Morris could be the QB who provides that.
