Is This Real Life?

Let's take a moment to reflect on where we were, and where we are today.  This time last year, heading into the Ohio State game, Michigan was 5-6 and needed a win, on the road, to secure a bowl birth.  Ohio State was on the verge of heading to the Big Ten Championship and would eventually win the National Championship.

On Saturday, Michigan beat Penn State in Happy Valley to collect their 9th, yes, their 9th win of the 2015 season.  Michigan went undefeated on the road in the Big Ten this year and, absent a botched punt at the end of the Michigan State game, the Wolverines would be undefeated in-conference heading into their match-up against the Buckeyes.

Michigan, looking for a chance to play in the Big Ten Championship, needed some help from the Buckeyes to knock-off the Spartans.  Unfortunately, Ohio State played uninspired football.  Michigan's chances of winning the Big Ten are slim but there is still a lot to play for heading into The Game this weekend.  A win against the Buckeyes could very likely land Michigan into a "New York Six" bowl game.  It would also be Michigan's first 10-win season since Hoke's first year at Michigan in 2011.
